IMBOKODO. This season we wanted to challenge the narrative of a women’s place in society, especially in African cultures. We dove into the world of cultural influenced women living in a modern space, woman who encompass domestic features and in spite of patriarchal notions can still hold primary positions in business, politics and society.

HOPE. Recent travels around South Africa, and a growing desire to completely localize our sourcing process inspired Good Good Good founder Daniel Sher's SS21 collection. To this end, the collection steps up our continued efforts to reduce our brand's carbon footprint and to lower our impact on our vulnerable planet. The Good Good Good SS21 collection, titled ‘HOPE’, comprises tried and trusted shapes refined over six years of radical experimentation, with a specific focus on our core product, the 100% South African T-shirt.

The final, considered selection features both vibrant & understated outfits made exclusively from two local textile houses, both notable for their ethical processes and sustainability.

EZOKHETHO introduces their new collection title "BATHO PELE".

A popular South African phrase, "BATHO PELE" a Setswana/Sesotho term that means "People First". Also known as "abantu phambili" in isiZulu. Meaning placing the needs of people first or placing the needs of others before your own. This phrase more than ever is relevant to the current events.

With the world going through a pandemic and at the same token fighting injustice and inequality, we find both roads somehow parallel to each other with the notion that both are ultimately for the well-being of all people, to put "People First".

This season we wanted to honor my mother Thembane (Nowam) Mfabe. We captured her free spirit and boldness, which she often displayed in her daring use of color. 

We also drew from her strength, using structured but soft and flowy silhouettes throughout the collection.
